My and Dani’s cooking experiments ;)
Dani and I have no classes today, because our English teacher is sick, so we’ve spent the morning experimenting in the kitchen, trying out new slurpy recipes we have collected from websites all over the month of March. In particular, what we did was cooking five 30 minute meals that we found to be especially delicious. :9
- Chicken wrapped in lettuce
- Pasta with Tuna fish, tomatoe and basil
- Potatoe steaks
- Fried Noodles with Cheese and Mushrooms
- Rice balls with pineapple and tuna fish
Most of these recipes are modifications of pre-existent recipes we found online, but we felt like adding our “original touch” to it all. ;)
I don’t have the time to tell you how to cook ALL of them, but I’m going to tell you the steps to prepare the follow two ones:
- Pasta with Tuna fish, tomatoe and basil
- Rice balls with pineapple and tuna fish
* * *
1. You need a tin of tuna fish (about 160 gr.), a packet of pasta (250 gr.), two mature tomatoes and a “lock” of fresh basil leaves.
Get a pan with water on the range and wait for it to boil (you’ll put salt and pasta when it boils). In the meantime, wash the basil leaves, separate them, and put them in a big salad bowl. Cut the tomatoes in little cubes and add them to the basil. Open the tuna fish tin and add it to the two ingredients. DON’T MIX.
Once the pasta is ready (time is specified on the packet), strain it and put it in the bowl. Mix all together, until the basil + tomatoes + tuna form a soft “cream” that dresses the pasta.
Serve and enjoy! :P

2. What you need is about 500 gr. of rice (usually a whole packet), pineapple (either sliced in a tin, or a fresh one), a can of tuna fish (about 160 gr.), and pepper.
Boil a pan of water and wait for it to boil before putting the salt and rice in it. In the meantime, open the pineapple tin and put the slices on a low plate (if you use that) or wash and cut the pineapple and slice it. Cute the slices in small rectangles or cubes, and put them in a big bowl. Open the tuna fish and add it in the bawl.
Take a baking tin and a can of pepper and put them aside for now.
Let the rice overdue its cooking time, because you need it “very gluey” to be able to make it into balls. Once it’s ready, take a big plate (biggest possible) and put the rice in it, smashing it as much as possible against the plate, so it gets more creamy and “gluey”.
Take the bowl of pineapple and tuna fish and spread it all over the rice, and then mix them together either with your hands or with a wooden spoon.
Now put A LOT of pepper into a small bowl. Make rice balls with your hands (small ones is better) and roll them inside the pepper bowl so they get spicy, and then lay them gently on the baking tin.
Once you’re done, let the balls cool in the fridge, and serve fresh. Enjoy! *.*
